Well folks, we have exciting news to “share”! Between taxes, year end bonuses and a variety of other expenses we endure at the beginning and end of every year, 1st quarter incentive checks can sometimes be lackluster. But, not only were we able to pay out substantial bonuses in March, we’re immediately following those up, for those eligible, with sizeable first quarter incentive checks! Our health insurance renewal date is 12/1 and the new rates don’t look pretty. We are looking at a 13% increase! After a sit down with our agent and discussing our options, it was determined that we don’t really have any! If we keep our current plan, with the 13% increase, but change our renewal date to Oct 1, we can be grandfathered from having to comply with the ACA (Affordable Care Act) until Oct 1, 2017. We cannot make any changes to the coverage in our current plan or even consider a different plan – other than ACA....
